There are plenty of options for you to have fun betting on your favourite sports, but maybe you haven’t even dared to place some of them because you don’t fully understand what they are or what they are about. To make sure you don’t miss out, we’ll explain below the different types of bets you can place.
1. Single bets / 1×2
As the name suggests, these bets are the simplest of all. All you have to do is choose which team or athlete you think will win the match, or if the match will end in a draw. At the end of the sporting event, and if the score is in favour of your chosen option, you will know for sure that you will receive your money.
2. Exact result

This is as simple as the previous one, but offers lower odds of winning. However, the prize is usually bigger. All you have to do is bet on what you think the exact score will be at the end of the match. In a football game it could be 2-1, 2-2 or 3-1.
3. At half-time
The idea is the same as with the exacta bet, but with the option for you to bet on what you think the score will be at half time of a match. As you know, the performance of players can change dramatically between the first and second half of the game.
4. Parlay bets
These are bets that you have to place on two or more sporting events, and to win you have to get all your predictions right. Thanks to the fact that the odds of each of the options are multiplied, the winnings are much juicier. For example, if there are 5 Liga MX matches on Sunday, in a parlay you can bet on 4 of them. If all the teams you bet on win, you will receive a very nice prize, but if you are wrong on just one event, you will receive nothing.
5. System betting

These are quite similar to parlays, but give you a better chance of winning because you can miss one of your predictions. So if you hit on two options, but miss on one, you can still receive your respective prize.
6. Live Betting
These can be found in our Live Sports section and are placed just as the sporting event is taking place. So if you are watching an NBA game, at that precise moment you have the chance to bet on which team you think will have the better score at the end of the second quarter, based on what you are seeing on screen.
7. Handicap
A handicap is a bet where you give an advantage (or disadvantage) to one of the teams or players to add more adrenaline to the bet. For example, if you bet on a match between the blue team and the red team, the game will start as if one of them has a goal (or more) from the start. So if the blue team starts with a one-goal lead, and you bet on the red team, the red team would have to win by two goals for you to receive all your winnings. In addition, this type of bet usually returns half your stake when the score is tied.
8. Asian handicap
This is basically the same as the previous type of bet, except that it has many more options. Some examples of these are the average handicaps (+/-0.5, +/-1.5), the integer handicaps (+/-1, +/-2) and even the quarter handicaps (+/-0.25, +/-1.25).
